Determination of oxygenated compounds, benzene and other aromatic substances in gasoline by gas chromatography

This experiment uses gas chromatography to determine the content of oxygenated compounds, benzene, and other aromatic substances in gasoline. Samples were processed according to the methods outlined in ASTM D4815-94 and ASTM D5580 using the Nebula Gas Chromatograph for the experiment. A comparison experiment was also conducted with instruments from the Petrochemical Institute. The results indicate that the Nebula Gas Chromatograph can be used for the determination of oxygenated compounds, benzene, and other aromatic substances in gasoline.
