Analysis of volatile organic compounds in exhaust gases from fixed pollution sources
Release Date :2025-11-04
A method for analyzing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in exhaust gases from fixed pollution sources was established based on the HJ 734-2014 standard method. The VOCs in the exhaust gases are first concentrated using an adsorption tube, and then the adsorption tube is placed in a thermal desorption instrument for thermal desorption. The desorbed gases are separated by gas chromatography (GC) and detected by mass spectrometry (MS). Qualitative analysis is performed based on the retention time of the components, their mass spectra, and characteristic ions, while quantitative analysis is carried out using the external standard method.
