Solution | Determination of platinum group metals platinum, palladium, ruthenium, rhodium and iridium in slag by ICP
Release Date :2025-08-12

Platinum, palladium, ruthenium, rhodium, iridium and other elements belong to the platinum group of elements. The content of these elements in the earth‘s crust is about 1/100 million. They belong to rare precious metal elements and have high economic value. They are indispensable key materials in high-tech fields such as aerospace, aviation, navigation, weapons and nuclear energy, as well as in the automobile manufacturing industry. They are known as "industrial vitamins". The detection and analysis of precious metal elements generally uses atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS), inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP), and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). This paper refers to DZ/T0279.2-2016 "Methods for analysis of regional geochemical samples, Part 2: Determination of 27 components such as calcium chloride, inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry" and DZG93-01-02.01 "Rock and ore analysis procedures Metal ore analysis" to establish a method for the determination of platinum, palladium, ruthenium, rhodium, iridium and other platinum group metals in slag by ICP method for reference of relevant personnel.
